The Advanced Diploma in Practical Ministry is a three-year program and is awarded upon completion of 94 credit hours. Full-time students will accumulate these credits by attending three fall terms, three spring terms and one summer term. The first year focuses on laying a foundation of godly character and on the student’s personal relationship with God. This year is comprised of courses such as Old and New Testament Survey, Prayer and Intercession, Evangelism, the Holy Spirit and other essential areas. The second year, students will continue building on this foundation; however, they will choose a ministry track. Each track has its own required and elective courses. CFNI offers five tracks: One summer term is required of all students. This requirement may be fulfilled in several ways. Summer courses are offered for students to further their biblical studies. Students may fulfill their requirement by attending these classes. Youth For The Nations youth camps are held at CFNI. Each summer thousands of teenagers attend our one-week camps. Students may earn credit by serving as an intern with the YFN team. CFNI also sends teams of students all over the world for three week mission trips. Summer credit may be earned by serving on one of these outreach teams. The third year, students will be able to apply for a School of Ministry. The Schools of Ministry offer intense, practical training in the student’s chosen ministry track. Students will spend nine months learning about the specifics of their ministry calling and gaining valuable, hands-on ministry experience. Upon completion of these requirements, students will earn an Advanced Diploma in Practical Ministry.
