FOUNDATIONAL STUDIES
First Year
The first year of the missions track will focus on the student’s relationship with God, laying a solid foundation with coursework in biblical studies, prayer, evangelism and other essential areas.
Second Year
In the second year, students will choose four electives which will further strengthen their foundation. Additionally, they will have courses which will specifically prepare them for ministry on the mission field.
Summer Term
One summer term is required of all students. This requirement may be fulfilled in several ways. Summer courses are offered for students to further their biblical studies. Students may fulfill their requirement by attending these classes. Youth For The Nations youth camps are held at CFNI. Each summer thousands of teenagers attend our one-week camps. Students may earn credit by serving as an intern with the YFN team. CFNI also sends teams of students all over the world for three week mission trips. Summer credit may be earned by serving on one of these outreach teams.
Upon completion of two fall semesters, two spring semesters and one summer term (64 credit hours), students may opt to graduate with a Diploma in Practical Theology in Missions.
ADVANCED STUDIES
Third Year
In the final year of the missions track, students will be enter the Advanced School of Missions, which will prepare students with practical training. Perspectives in missions, modern missions and cross-cultural adaptation are some of the areas that will be covered. Students will also have direct ministry opportunities to practice and experience what they are learning.
Upon completion of three fall semesters, three spring semesters and one summer term (94 credit hours), students will graduate with an Advanced Diploma in Practical Ministry.
