For one unit of credit, there is a minimum average requirement of four hours of ministry per week for each semester. This ministry time is exclusive of any associated time spent in student ministry meetings and travel time involved in getting to the place of ministry. Although most students will exceed the minimum time requirement because of the demands and criteria of the specific student ministry, only one academic credit hour can be earned.

All of the minimum hours must be obtained by a CFNI student ministry group, except in special circumstances approved by the Director of Student Ministries. Each student will choose one ministry at registration. Students may change student ministries during the designated add/drop days; however, there will be a fee for each change that is made. Changes are not permitted during the summer term. Students who are required to change student ministries by the Institute administration will not be charged an add/drop fee.
